Shillong, April 08: Meghalaya CM Conrad K Sangma on Tuesday felicitated Meghalaya Football Team from Myngken Christian Higher Secondary School on winning 3rd place at the 2nd Indo-French Football Tournament in Paris, France.
The chief minister said that the team exhibited exceptional skill, determination, and resilience throughout the tournament, proudly representing India in Paris. He said that the government will supported their journey.
The chief minister said that ₹50 Lakhs investment in their travel was not merely an expenditure but a strategic initiative to enhance their exposure and prepare them for greater opportunities on the national and international stage.
He also informed that the prestigious Olympique Lyonnais Academy, one of Europe’s foremost football institutions, has extended an exclusive invitation to the Meghalaya State Football Team (U-18) for a 20-day training camp at their world-renowned academy in France this June 2025.
