New Delhi, Dec 18: For development of tourism infrastructure in the country, the Ministry of Tourism launched the schemes of PRASHAD-Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual, Heritage Augmentation Drive and Swadesh Darshan – Integrated Development of Theme-Based Tourist Circuits and in the year 2014-15.
Under PRASHAD Scheme, 41 religious sites have been identified for development in the country namely coming to Meghalaya two religious site that was sanction under the scheme for the development is Babedpara, West Jaintia Hills and Sohra.
This information was given by the Minister of State incharge for Tourism Shri. K. J. Alphons, in a written reply in Rajya Sabha today.
