Shillong, Oct 25: The Chairman of Meghalaya State Planning Board will launch the Project “Beat Plastic Pollution with Sla & Pla” at Laitumkhrah Parking Lot, Shillong on 28th October, 2019 at 9:30 AM.
The objective of the programme is to give an awareness and more in-depth knowledge on how to eradicate plastic and use other environmental friendly carry bag/packing materials. The programme will be attended by various Line Departments, residents of Laitumkhrah, shopkeepers and students.
The project is being catalyzed and supported by Meghalaya State Planning Board, State Council of Science Technology & Environment in collaboration with the office of the Deputy Commissioner of East Khasi Hills, Shillong Municipal Board, Meghalaya State Pollution Control Board, Directorate of Social Welfare, Directorate of Tourism, Directorate of Urban Affairs, Rangbah Shnong, Laitumkhrah Dorbar Shnong, NEEDS, NESFAS, Bethany Society, KISHA.
