Genetic predisposition, sedentary lifestyle and environmental factors have been causing a steady rise in acute and chronic liver diseases in several parts of India.

Through the launch of these specialised OPD services in Guwahati, they will screen high-risk adults and children, provide timely care, and significantly improve the standards of liver and gastroenterological health of the region.

The experts further emphasized on key symptoms of HPB, Gastrointestinal cancers and Liver Failure such as recurrent fever, jaundice, dark urine, pale stools, abdominal swelling, and unexplained weight-loss.

Other concerning signs such as fatigue, frequent vomiting, and easy bruising necessitate immediate medical evaluation to prevent severe complications.

Recognizing the need for accessible Cancer and Liver care, Nanavati Max Super Speciality hospital has established over 17 OPDs across multiple locations in four states, including Amravati in Maharashtra, as part of its mission to extend specialized medical expertise beyond metropolitan cities and make advanced healthcare more accessible to all.
