Shillong, August 14: Two personnel from the Meghalaya Civil Defence & Home Guards organisation were awarded the prestigious Home Guards and Civil Defence Medal for Meritorious Service on the occasion of Independence Day, 2021.
The Home Guards and Civil Defence Medal for Meritorious Servicehas been awarded to Shri R.P.Khongwar, Senior Staff Officer (HG), Directorate of Civil Defence & Home Guards, Meghalaya, Shillongand Sub Inspector Social Dkhar from the Meghalaya Secretariat Home Guards (MSHG), Shillong.
The duo are amongst only 7 (Seven) other recipients of this Medal from the Civil Defence and Home Guards Organisation from the North East, this Independence Day.
