Shillong, June 15: This is for the general information of the public in East Khasi Hills District, Shillong,that the Government has launched a Special Drive to identify the weakest and vulnerable sections of society, that is, street dwellers, rag pickers, hawkers, migrant labourers, homeless, commercial sex workers, persons with disabilities.
This Special Drive will be carried out by the Office of the Deputy Commissioner (Supply), East Khasi Hills District, Shillong, in co-ordination with concerned Departments and in consultation with local Headmen.
Recommendation for inclusion under NFSA will be after proper verification as per the SOPs, (Exclusion parameter for PHH category and Inclusion Parameter for AAY category), issued by the Directorate of Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Meghalaya, Shillong, vide letter No.PMU.5/2014/Pt.V/552-A Dated Shillong, the 19th October, 2020.
During such identification and verification, submission of Aadhaar Or EPIC of the applicant is mandatory.
