Shillong, Julry 15: The Rotary Club of Orchid City Shillong today felicitated the 67 BN CRPF at Pologround, Shillong as COVID-19 Warriors for their services in maintaining law and order through internal security during the pandemic situations.
Mr Sunit Varshney, Commandant, 67 Bn CRPF received the Certificate of Gratitude on behalf of the entire Battalion in the presence of club members Rtns Vincent Darlong, President; Vivek Kumar, Secretary; Pradeep Pillai, IPP and Surjya Banerjee, PS.
While accepting the felicitation certificate, Mr Varshney mentioned that both CRPF and Rotary Club in general has many things in common such as in the service of humanity above self through the maintenance of internal security, along with concerns for environment by planting 5000 tree saplings this year.
He conveyed best wishes for Rotary Club of Orchid City and the people of Meghalaya. The programme ended with joint plantation of Cherry sapling by the Commandant and members of Rotary Club of Orchid City, Shillong.
