Shillong, Jylliew, 09: In continuation of the previous Order No. PSD/GEN/09/2019/178, dated the 21, May, 2026 and in the interest of public safety, prevention of accidents and smooth execution of the construction work involving heavy machineries.
It is hereby informed to the general public and all commuters that all that the following road closure schedules along the Laitlyngkot to Langkyrdem Chainage Kms 24+00 – 34+00 shall be effective from the 11, June, 2026.
The timing for closing of the from Laitlyngkot to Langkyrdem in the morning time from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM closing time, and Night time from 10:00 PM to 5:00 PM closing time.
All traffic will be allowed to cross from both ends from Laitlyngkot to Langkyrdem latest by 10:00 AM after which from 10:30 onwards, construction works will be started by the company along the said stretch.
The above closure arrangement will be temporary and on a daily basis for a period effective from the 11, June, 2026 and shall remain in force until the next review and further order.
Due to the onset of the monsoon season all commuters and members of the public are strongly advised to exercise extreme caution while commuting through this stretch and to kindly avoid taking non-essential travel during or immediately after rainfall and also during night time hours.
