Shillong Lajong defeated Umrit Sports Club by 6-0 in the Meghalaya State League 2019

Shillong, Dec 09: Shillong Lajong defeated Umrit Sports Club by 6-0 in their last Meghalaya State League Group A match played at the Kiang Nangbah Stadium in Jowai today and have advanced to the semi-finals of the tournament.

The first goal of the match was scored by Samuel Lyngdoh Kynshi in the 5th minute from a wonderful free-kick outside the box.

Amon Lepcha then scored the second goal in the 14th minute, from an easy tap in.In the 37th minute, Maxderidoff Wahlang scored with a strong left-foot shot to beat the keeper.

In the second half, Amon Lepcha scored Lajong’s fourth goal in the 51st minute from close range. Lajong were dominant throughout the match while their opponents tried to attack in the counter but were unsuccessful.

Parvaj scored the final two goals for Lajong in the 69th and 88th minute of the match. The match ended 6-0 in favour of Lajong and with this win; the Reds are at the top of Group A with 13 points and are through to the Semi-Finals of the Meghalaya State League 2019.
