Shillong Lajong to play the finals of the MSLagainst Rangdajied United in Khliehriat

Shillong, Dec 17: Shillong Lajong defeated Druma Sandruma in the second leg semifinals of the Meghalaya State League today by 1-11 at Resubelpara.

The Champions of Shillong have advanced to the finals of the Meghalaya State League 2019 after winning the Semifinals against Druma Sandruma with a stunning 21-2 aggregate. The first leg was held in Jowai last Friday and Lajong won the encounter by 10-1 and finished the second leg with a 1-11 scoreline earlier today in Resubelpara.

The Lajong Youngsters continued to display a strong performance and combined exceptionally well with each other on the pitch. The first goal of the match was scored by Samuel Lyngdoh Kynshi in the 16th minute. He then scored two more goals to complete his hat trick in the 64th and 87th minute.

The Man of the Match of today’s game was awarded to Phrangki Buam as he netted 6 incredible goals. He scored in the 26’, 30′, 36′, 42′, 69′ and 75th minute. The team overall played some incredible football and dominated proceedings throughout without giving any kind of chances to their opponents. Skipper, Kenstar Kharshong also found the back of the net in the 82nd minute while Dajied netted Lajong’s 11th goal of the match in the 84th minute.

Druma Sandruma managed to pull one back in the 32nd minute with the goal scored by Bsing Marak.Shillong Lajong are now set to play the finals of the Meghalaya State League against Rangdajied United on 21st December in Khliehriat.
