Sixty five boys of Garo Hills trained by BSF cleared written exam conducted by ssc

Shillong, July 29: The  Border Security Force is not only known for its professionalism in maintaining the sanctity of IB but also plays an important role in integrating the population living in far flung bordering areas to national mainstream.

Their Efforts are made BSF to guide, groom and prepare the youth of bordering areas of Meghalaya Frontier for recruitment into CAPFs. Owing to remoteness, youth in these far flung areas are generally ignorant and least exposed to the requirements of recruitment and pattern of examination and tests for selection to various national examinations like CAPF GD/Const Exam conducted by SSC.

In one such effort, 26 Bn BSF which is deployed in South West Garo Hills, under Tura Sector of FTR HQ Meghalaya took pro-active step to mentor, guide and prepare the youth of bordering areas for CAPF Exams.

Mr Vishal Rane, Commandant of   26 Bn BSF intimated that in this series following programmes and activities were organized at BOP Mahenderganj of 26 Bn BSF, which include three days Demo Class for Computer based Exam, Competition preparation classes of SSC GD from Oct 2018 to Feb 2019 and distribution of books for preparation of SSC GD Exam.

In this endeavour, 251 candidates applied for SSC GD Exam out of which 65 candidates have qualified.  Further preparation to train these 65 candidate in physical test and medical test of CAPF recruitment is underway.

Mr  U K Nayal, DIG/PRO said that the project is aimed to support and help poor & underprivileged students of Border area to achieve carrier success. Mr Kuldeep Saini, IG FTR HQ BSF Meghalaya said that BSF is planning more such coaching classes and are also conducting various skill development programme for unemployed youths.
