The Border Security Force, Meghalaya organized blood donation camp at Tura

Shillong, Oct 02: The Border Security Force continuing its efforts to extend helping hand and social responsibility, a voluntary blood donation camp organized on 01st Oct’2018 under the aegis of Sector Head Quarter BSF, Tura in collaboration with blood bank department Civil Hospital, Tura.

The blood donation was inaugurated by Sh Vijay Kumar Thapliyal, DIG SHQ BSF Tura and supervised by Dr. S K Verma, CMO(SG) SHQ  BSF Tura and Dr. D R Marak of Tura Civil Hospital alongwith other staffs from blood bank, Civil Hospital Tura were present during the camp. More than 55 sentinels of border donated blood. While addressing Sh. Vijay Thapliyal, DIG BSF Tura stressed that importance of blood donation and approached all to come forward and donate blood.

By doing so BSF have exhibited that they are ready to save the civil citizens of India not only by guarding the border but also the donating of blood. In the past, Border Security Force has been also conducting various Blood donation camps, free medical camps, civic action programme for border population.
