The BSF handed a minor boy from Bangladesh to the BGB  who enter Indian territory

Shillong, May 19: The BSF of Meghalaya has exhibited a goodwill gesture by handed over one Bangladeshi minor boy to Border Guard Bangladesh after he was apprehended by troops of 55 Bn BSF in bordering area of South Garo Hills district, who was identity as Munir Khan 17 resident of Mymensing, Bangladesh.

He was intercepted by BSF while roaming inside Indian territory after inadvertently crossing International Boundary. He was searched by BSF troops but nothing objectionable was found from his possession.

The minor was handed over to Border Guard Bangladesh during a meeting sought by BGB on 19th May 2022, Mr. Inderjit Singh Rana, Inspector General, BSF, Meghalaya Frontier in his statement said that, BSF always adopts a humanitarian approach in such cases where victims are minors or innocent.

Both the border guarding forces have developed an understanding on such subjects and these issues are amicably resolved to strengthen the existing relationship and to enhance mutual trust between both the neighboring countries.
