The BSF organized civic action programme at bordering village Nongjuri under EJH District

Shillong,Jan 18: The Border Security Force  organized a civic action programme at village Nongjuri and Tisang Basti under East Khashi Hills district­ of Meghalaya on 16th Jan’ 2020.

Street solar lights were installed Under the civic action programme. It was conducted to improve the quality of life, welfare to  bordering villagers and to upgrade the existing infrastructure by ensuring full energy and access to villagers.

Mr Subhash Chandra, DIG SHQ BSF Jowai accompanied by Mr Rajashekar K N, Commandant of 123 Bn BSF inaugurated the programme of  ‘Street Solar Lights Installation’ in which 12 Street Lights installed at village Nongjuri and Tisang Basti in the presence of sirdar Napoleon  and approx 400 villagers.

Addressing the gathering, he  assured that BSF would continue providing such welfare facility towards improvement of needy border residents. The villagers expressed their sincere gratitude towards BSF for this friendly gesture.
