Shillong, June 06: The Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Mr. Conrad Sangma Wednesday launched the SE Organic Bags at St. Edmund’s School, Shillong. Dr. Vijay Kumar D, CEO, MBMA, Mr Aiban Swer, Director, MBDA and Principal, St. Edmund’s School were present in the launch program.
Mr. Vivek Kumar, Ms Wansuk Lapasam and Mr. Napoleon Mawphniang, Co-founders and Directors of Saindur Enviro Pvt. Ltd. (Shillong), the company launching SE Organic Bags, were present on the occasion. Mr. Napoleon Mawphniang welcomed everyone in the launch program. Thereafter, Mr. Vivek Kumar introduced SE Organic Bags to the chief guest and guests present in the program.
He mentioned that SE Organic Bags are 100% compostable bags and is a promising alternative to polythene carry bags. He also informed that SE Organic Bags will be available in all the sizes, ranging from kwai packets to shopping bags of different shape and sizes and garbage bags up to 15 kg holding capacity, all compostable.
Thereafter, Mr Conrad Sangma launched SE Organic Bags with dignitaries on the dais. Shri Sangma in his address congratulated Saindur Enviro team for this initiative. He mentioned that can solve the pollution related to plastic carry bags in Meghalaya.
He encouraged the use of SE Organic Bags to fight with the problem of plastic pollution caused by polythene carry bags. He expressed his concerned over increasing pollution in the city and in different parts of the state. Sangma in his address urged the citizens to use SE Organic Bags and go green.
