Shillong, Sept 10: Due to the detection of positive COVID-19 cases and high risk contacts which require contact tracing, testing and isolation to be effected in the interest of the health of the general public to prevent against any possible spread of COVID-19.
The District Magistrate, East Khasi Hills District, in orders issued on 10th September, 2020 has declared Kali Mandir at Qualapatty, the compound of Smti H. Diengdoh, Nandi Ram lane at Madan Laban and the house of Pradeep Chakraborty (tenant) in the compound of Shri K. Pal, Lower Harisabha, Laban as micro-containment areas so as to restrict unregulated entry and exit on the site.
The orders states that no persons are allowed to move into the containment areas and inhabitants within these areas shall not move out, besides all inhabitants within the containment areas shall strictly remain inside their homes.
The respective Incident Commanders of the above mentioned areas shall supervise and monitor strict compliance of the order.
Any violation of the order will entail prosecution under the penal provision of Disaster Management Act, 2005 and IPC.
