The ECI published latest countrywide SSR of Electoral Rolls, published on January, 2025

New Delhi April 21: The latest countrywide Special Summary Revision (SSR) of Electoral Rolls, published on January 6th and 7th, 2025, has concluded with minimal appeals filed under Section 24 of the Representation of the People Act.

Hardly any first or second appeals were made regarding corrections (Section 22) or inclusion of names (Section 23), effectively indicating that the rolls have been accepted as accurate and undisputed.

The SSR data also encompasses revisions carried out in States and Union Territories that conducted assembly elections post the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.

This extensive electoral exercise covered nearly 10.5 lakh polling booths across India and witnessed active involvement from 13.87 lakh Booth Level Agents (BLAs) nominated by political parties. The process spanned all 4,123 Assembly Constituencies, marking a significant nationwide effort to ensure comprehensive and accurate voter rolls.

With the revision process now complete and largely uncontested, the Electoral Rolls published in January 2025 stand as the accepted version for upcoming electoral events.
