Maligaon, Sept 19: The General manager of N.F.Railway Mr Sanjive Roy yesterday reviewed the performance of Katihar division during an interaction with the Divisional Railway Manager and other senior officials from different department at Katihar. He also inspected the Katihar station and enquired about the works being done for improvement of various passenger amenities.
During the review meeting GM appreciated the performance of the division during the pandemic situation. He complemented all officers and staff of the division for their splendid performance in regard to mobility and other issues in spite of various COVID-19 related restrictions in place. He asked all officials to continue with their good performance in future also.
During his interaction he said that the performance of Katihar division in regard to train operation is vital for entire NFR, as entire incoming and outgoing movement of freight, parcel and passenger trains to and from Northeast of India passes through this division.
Good performance of this division helped in carrying essential commodities in sufficient quantity towards north-eastern states during lockdown when all other means of transportation were suspended.
Performance of this division affects the entire northeast. He also urged everyone to be cautious and take all precautions for COVID-19 and observes the necessary guidelines; as safety of officials is of utmost importance for un-interrupted operations of trains.
