Shillong, August 03: The North East Dialogue Forum today has written to Union Health Minister Mr. Mansukh Mandaviya for constant and regular supply of medicine, to the State of Mizoram.

The  NEDF in the letter sent to the union minister base on the Letter of The All India Organization of Chemists & Druggists, Ref. HFW/AICOD/ 102/2021, August 2, 2021 on the supply of medicine to Mizoram.

Dr.  P.  B.  M.  Basaiawmoit Consultant in the letter stated that in pursuant of subject matter under reference,  the NEDF would appreciate very much of your taking prompt action to see and monitor that supply of medicine of all type to the State of Mizoram is not hindered, stopped and  blocked in any way, manner, reason whatsoever to the extent of having them transported by air Guwahati – Aizawl flight and helicopter service on emergency basis.

Particularly, as the third wave of COVID-19 is on under the name of Delta Variant which is more alarming and dangerous than the two earlier waves. Therefore such move and negative action to stop and withhold Mizoram from receiving medicine as per need is nothing but a crime against humanity. Further, this applies to all States in the region and of the whole Indian Union.

The letter was sign by Dr.  P.  B.  M.  Basaiawmoit Consultant and Anthony Debbarma member, the organization also sent the letter to the Union Home Minister  informing him about the problems face by the people of Mizrom.
