Shillong, August 14: Ka Sur U Paudbah (KSUP) today has sent letter to the Chief Minister Mr Cornad K Sangma urging the Government that should immediately tested for High Risk or Primary contacted persons of thus people who were tested COVID-19 Positive.
In the letter sent to the Chief Minister KSUP said that,Though the government trying it level for containing the spread of this Pendamic,but unfortunately to say that with the increasing rate of Covid-19 positive cases in the state is a matter of great concern.
Due to which several suggestions through representations has been sent to the Government in the previous days, as safety and security of the people of the state is our priority, thus, now therefore we once again would like to appraise your attention for the matters mentioned herein below:
It has been observed that High Risk and Primary contact person are not carrying out immediate test by the Concern Authority. surpringly the responsibility for monitoring self isolation been given to the Dorbar Shnong only.
As we have seen the Dorbar Shnong of Them Mawbah and Demsieniong expressed the same grievances as happenedin Lower Mawprem recently. In contrary, while enquiring,wewere informed by the concern authority that “usually Immediate testing are not carried out for such person since the result could be vary after four to five days”.
In this respect we would like to suggest the government that, for High Risk or Primary contacted person be tested immediately, and if found positive case, immediately subsequent tracing to the those contacted persons should be carried out for preventing from further spreading of the virus.
And If the test results is negative, the person may be kept in isolation for retest after three to four days, if required third test may be conducted after another three to four days for containing and to prevent from Community transmission.
