Shillong, July 08: The President of the United Democratic Party Mr. Metbah Lyngdoh, who is also Chairman of the Regional Democratic Alliance (RDA) that comprise of the two parties the UDP and the HSPDP are very much intact and there is no problems at all.
Talking to media at the party office Mr. Metbah said that whatever appears in the media not correct, he reiterate that the RDA an alliance of the UDP and HSPDP are very much intact and there is no problems at all.
The UDP president said that he said these after discussion with the president of the HSPDP; he also said that he has not seen any such statement from the HSPDP, as far as that mistrust among the parties and from the UDP also.
The President of the UDP clearly said that they do not have as such to blames the HSPDP for the defeat of out candidate which have agreed upon by both the parties under the banner of the UDP.
When it’s come to the MDCs and MLAs election this yet to sit and discussed, on the statement made by the Working President Mr. Paul Lyngdoh that will be at the party level, and that what he said is to clear all the doubts in the mind of every one as of now the RDA is very strong and had very good understanding, there is no confusion, no mistrust.
On the election campaign that is the past, both the parties has campaign, on the RDA meeting the UDP President said that he has already call the president of the HSPDP and the Secretary of the RDA to sit on the RDA meeting just want to see everything is sorted out.
On the question of pulling out from the government no discussion as such and as party will remain with the government there is no discussion as such in the party, the president of the UDP said that they have been working together since 2018, with the NPP, BJP, HSPDP and PDF at that time party secure 6 seats and in 2023 election people has voted for the party 12 seats.
The Presdient of the UDP also mention that after the post MLA election they were with some members to form the government, people wanted to form the government, then after the Chief Minister requested them to join the government, after they discussed among the MLAs and they said go ahead and they went ahead to joint the Government.
The party joint the government, they belief that in 2023 the people rewarded with 12 MLAs than the 2018 elelction and they belief also they will work together in the MDA-2 will work very hard perhaps in 2028 that people will vote with more mumbers. The MDA will last it full terms.
