Shillong, April 22: In pursuance to order No.POL.75/2020/PtI/89 dated 21st April, 2021 issued by the Home (Political) Department, Government of Meghalaya and in view of the rapid rise of COVID-19 cases in the District and Shillong Urban Agglomeration in particular, shops and vendors as listed below shall remain closed from 26th April, 2021 to 2nd May, 2021 in Shillong Urban Agglomeration.
This including whole of Municipal area, whole of Cantonment area, all areas under Mawlai C&RD Block including Census Towns, Mawpat C&RD Block including Census Towns, Mylliem C&RD Block from Umshyrpi Bridge upto 7th Mile, Upper Shillong including Madanrting, Mawblei, Laitkor, Nongkseh, Umlyngka and Lawsohtun.

2. Stationery and Book Stalls
3. Automobile Showrooms and Car Wash
Units.
4. Gift shops
5. Furniture shops
6. Photo Studios
7. Clothes and garments
8. Musical Instruments
9. Textiles
10. Sports Equipment including Cycle shops
11. Tailoring shops.
12. Dry Cleaners
13. Footwear.
14. Bridal Shop
15. Ornaments
16. Toy shops
17. Home Appliances
18. Sewing, Craft and Novelty shops
19. Home Furnishing
20. Flower shops

Any violation will be met with strict action under the Meghalaya Epidemic Diseases, COVID-19 Regulations, 2020, this an order issued today by the Deputy Commissioner of East Khasi Hills District Miss Isawanda Laloo, IAS.
