New Delhi, Jan 13: The Union Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Electronics and IT, Shri. Rajeev Chandrasekhar today launched a blistering attack on the Trinamool Congress for spreading canards against the BJP and painting it as a party that was biased against minority communities.
Reaffirming that Prime Minister Narendra Modi believed in the Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas ideal, Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar said the TMC was doing so as it cannot compete against the BJP on development front.
“Their track record on development front is very poor. They are therefore spreading misinformation to paint the BJP as being biased against some communities. They are doing so to instil fear in the minds of the people so they do not develop trust in the BJP.”
The Minister who was on a two-day visit to Meghalaya, said this in reply to queries by reporters. He asserted that the BJP serves every Indian regardless of caste, creed, gender or religion. “We believe in Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas and do not practise any discrimination against any community while implementing welfare programmes.”
Citing the example of Gareeb Kalyan Yojana, he said the disbursements were made to the beneficiaries without any bias and without any leakages. Explaining the construct of New India, the Minister said it was all about equal opportunities and democratic principles, wherein a common man/woman can elected to the highest offices.
Later speaking to party leaders and karyakartas, Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar said the BJP had a good chance of winning the next elections in Meghalaya.“The BJP has upset the Congress apple-carts in so many states including those which were its strongholds for several years,” he said, adding this was possible because of strong organisational capabilities right at the booth level.
Urging them to carry forward Hon.PM Narendra Modi ji’s messages and vision of New India which stands for inclusive growth, to every nook and corner of the state, the Minister said they must also recount the story of negligence of the North East for so many decades and how they have been let down by the dynasts and the political parties.
“I think Meghalaya is ready to create a change. With the BJP government at the Centre, the double engine ki sarkar model will usher in development in the state for the coming generations–in a New Meghalaya in New India.”
The Minister also encouraged them to make people aware about the various welfare programmes of the Centre, especially about the Skill India movement and start ups and innovation ecosystem. He had announced the launch of PMKVY 4.0 yesterday as part of Skilling efforts.
