Shillong, August 12: Meghalaya Health department inform that today 23 were tested COVID-19 positive in the state, In East Khasi Hills there are 11 persons and out of this 1 from the arms forces, 8 BSF and 2 from the public, the others are, 1 North Garo Hills, 1 South garo Hills and 10 from West Garo Hills all the ten are from the BSF.
The total number of active cases in the state are 642, East Khasi hills 433, out of this the BSF 96, public 267 and from the arms forces 70. In others District, West Khasi Hills 3, South West Khasi hills 1, Ri Bhoi 92, West Jiantia Hills 16, East Jiantia hills 5, West Garo Hills 82, South West Garo Hills 2, South Garo Hills 3 and North Garo Hills 5.
The total number of person who recovered today 7, in East Jaintia Hills 1, West Khasi hills 2, East Khasi hills 3 and 1 in Ri Bhoi District all are from the public and the total number of persons who have recovered as of today are 517.
