Shillong, August 15: Two personnel from the Meghalaya Civil Defence & Home Guards Department were awarded the Home Guards and Civil Defence Medals on the occasion of Independence Day, 2022.
The Home Guards & Civil Defence Medal for Meritorious Service has been awarded to Shri. Kharnesh A Sangma, Sub-Inspector, District Training Centre, Home Guards, West Garo Hills District and Shri. Timothy Marbaniang, Havildar, District Training Centre, Home Guards, South West Khasi Hills District.
The duo is amongst only 7 (seven) other recipients of these Medals from the Civil Defence and Home Guards Organisation from the North East, this Independence Day.
