Shillong, Nov 25: When Dr. Mukul Sangma leader of the opposition in the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly of the congress party submit the letter consisting of 12 MLAs of the Congress to the Speaker seeking his recognition as separate group in Assembly since they have split from the Congress Legislature party.
Senior leaders of the Congress party told SP News Agency that the party will react after the 12 Congress MLAs who has defected from the party parades before the Speaker of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly in person to gave the testimony that they have sign in the letter to split from the CLP.
With the split in the parliamentary party the Congress party out of 17 MLAs now they will be reduce to 5 MLAs, they are Dr. Ampareen Lyngdoh, Mr. Process T Sawkmie, Mr. Kimfa S Marbaniang, Mr. Mayralborn Syiem and Mr. Mohendro Rapsang.
Sources close to the congress told that they wait till the 12 defected MLAs parade before the speakers to confirm their split then they will react in what direction they will take let the defect MLAs confirm first their defection from the CLP.
