Maligaon, Sept 09: A new Zonal Disaster Management Resource Centre has been opened recently at NFR HQ, Maligaon. This new centre was inaugurated by General Manager of the NFR Mr Sanjive Roy in presence of Shri Radhey Raman, Addl General Manager of NFR, representatives from 1st Battalion NDRF.
The Principal Chief Safety Officer of NFR apart from other senior officials of the headquarter. The facilities of this centre are updated as per ISO 9001-2015 certification requirement to deal with any type of disaster.
The facilities provided at the centre is equipped to serve as an aid in achieving a quick disaster response and ensuring immediate attention to injured persons in case of Railway Mishap by ensuring appropriate co-ordination between different departments of railways apart from civil authorities.
The overall objective of this Disaster Management Resource Centre is to convey and apprise officers and officials of their roles and responsibilities to minimise the possibility of loss of life and property during any disaster.
