Central Ground Water Board to hold Painting Competition

 

Shillong, Nov 15:Central Ground Water Board, Ministry of Water Resources, Govt. of India is holding a State Level Painting Competition with the theme ‘Care for Water, before it becomes rare’ at Anton Hall, Don Bosco Point, Shillong on November 18, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. 50 students of  6th, 7th, & 8th standards, whose paintings have been shortlisted from hundreds of paintings selected and sent from various schools of the state, conducted during September-October, 2013 will compete in this competition. The winners of the first, second and third prize in this competition will be invited to participate in the National Painting Competition, to be organized by CGWB at New Delhi on 27th December 2013.

On the occasion of this State Level Painting Competition, a prize distribution function is being organized in the afternoon at 3 p.m. at the same venue with Smt. P. Mukhim as the Chief Guest. Besides the first, second and third prizes, 10 consolation prizes will also be given. (SP News)
