30th International Aids Candle Light Memorial

Shillong, May 20: As a mark of remembering those HIV patients who died because of the disease, a candle light memorial was held at Don Bosco Youth Centre on the occasion of  the 30th International Aids Candle Light Memorial on Monday.

Father I Celia, explaining the objectives of the candle light programme said that through such programme we can remember the people who have lost their precious lives by the viral disease.

“All of us need to be helped, loved and respected regardless of the status we come from or the ailments we have,” Father Celia asserted adding “We need to be strong and fight strong.”

He also urged upon the infected people to come out and avail the required professional help and refrain themselves from hiding the disease.(SP News)
