The KHADC put a target to complet the Khasi Heritage village by July

Shillong, April 17: The department of Art and Culture of the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council has set the target that the Khasi Heritage village at Mawphlang adjacent to the sacred grove will be completed by the month of July this year.

Sources  told SP News Agency that the delay in completion of the construction in time is due to the financial crunched face by the District Council, but in spite of the problem they face the target has been put to complete all thus main construction by July so that the festival will go as schedule on the month of October.

The local MDC of that area Mr L Blah told the agency that the construction work is slow because of the fund constrain but in spite of all the problems the Executive Committee want that the construction has to bee completed so that festival could be held as schedule.(SP News)
