Shillong, April 3: A one-day orientation programme on the values of Scouting and Guiding for various Heads of institutions of the Khasi Hills Distritc was held at the State Headquarters of the Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides on Wednesday.
Speaking at the occasion as the chief guest Deputy Commissioner of east khasi Hills who is also president of the district association, East khasi Hills Bharat Scouts and Guides stressed that opportunities such as values of Scouting and Guiding should be well taken by the educational institutions as it amplify the learning capacity of the young people especially at a time when there is a growing concern about the State of affair of the youth.
The orientation programme was attended by Principals, headmasters, headmistress altogether, 220 of them were present.
Also present at the programme include Director of School Education and Literacy JD Sangma, Aswer State Secretary besides others.(SP News)
