Shillong, Naiwieng 11: The six families from Mawlong-Mawtari and Umsawli who were affected by the demolition derived carried out by the Meghalaya Urban Development Authority today stage a demonstration inform of the IGP point near the main secretariat in the state capital Shillong.
The affected families were supported by the organization like the TOUR, CSWO and the KSU want the clarification from the Deputy Commissioner why these people were evicted from the area with out proper notice.
The six families in their placards threaten that they will continue with their agitation if the government dose not gives back their right.
The president of TOUR said that the CSWO has file an FIR on this shady land deal in the year 2012 in the month of June but the government is sitting tide on the issue. If the authority can act so fast to arrest the CSWO president who opposed to the eviction drive what about the FIR file by her she question. (SP News)
