Shillong, July 21: The Air Force Wives Welfare Association (AFWWA) on Monday organized a’Declamation Contest at Regional Level’ at Meghalaya Hall of Headquarers Eastern Air Command, IAF, Upper Shillong.
Twenty four children from the entire Eastern Air Command Region
participated in the contest. The contest was open to children of AFWWA
members who are studying in Class IX to XII. Vice President AFWWA
(Regional), Mrs. Harbinder Walia was the Chief Guest for the event.
She gave away the trophies and certificates to the participants.
Miss Varsha Kaushik of Kendriya Vidyalaya Kalaikunda, Miss Sumona Das
of KV Borjhar and Miss Shilpa Chaudhary of KV Hasimara were declared
First, Second and Third in Hindi Declamation Contest
respectively. Miss Shreya Kute of Kendriya Vidyalaya Upper Shillong,
Miss Sukhanna Bhardwaj of KV Digaru and Miss Aditi Aggarwal of KV
Kalaikunda bagged the First, Second and Third in English Declamation
Contest respectively.
The winners will represent Eastern Air Command in Declamation Contest
to be held at Central Level at AFWWA New Delhi.(SP News)
