Shillong, November 01: The North Eastern Service, All India Radio, Shillong organised a Hindi program on folklores of north-east called the “KATHA GOSTHI” in the Seminar Hall of U Soso Tham State Central Library on Thursday.
Addressing the gathering as the chief guest NEHU Vice Chancellor Professor AN Rai said that with the coming up of Television and internet it posted a challenge to the broadcasting media such as the All India Radio to reach the general masses. Highlighting the programme folklores of different northeastern states was being narrated. Dr.Milan Rani Jamatia from Tripura narrated the (Kokborak Follore), Meitei Folklore was narrated by Dr. S.Lanchenba Meitei from Manipur, Dr.B.P.Philip Dzuvichu from Nagaland narrated the Ongami Folklore, besides others.(SP News)
