Shillong, Oct 08: The General Secretary of the Khasi Students Union (KSU) Auguster Jyrwa today made his announcement that in the meeting of all the NGOs which met today took the decision that in the even of the Durga Puja religious festival they will keep in abeyance all agitation from 10 to 16 of this month.
The KSU Genenral Secretary said that all the NGOs will again meet on the 16 of this month to decide next course agitational program till the government implement the Inner Line Permit in the state of Meghalaya.
The conglomeration of 13 NGOs include the KSU,FKJGP,GSU, HNYF, RBYF,JYF,JSU,AJYWO,CSWO,
The NGOs asked the Chief Minister to implement the ILP not the tenancy Act, The general Secretary of the KSU said that ILP will not hamper the development activities in the state, he question in all these years where there isno ILP where is the development he question the government.
At the same time he urged the public to give their support in this stragule for the demand that ILP should be implementing in the state. The ILP issue is not for the NGOs but for the ingenious people of the state of Meghalaya.(SP News)
