Shillong Dec 5: The North Eastern Service of All India Radio, Shillong in collaboration with Doordarshan, Shillong yesterday organized a choral Goodwill Concert at Aurobindo Hall in Shillong, heralding the festive season of Christmas.
Speaking on the occasion as the chief guest Meghalaya Chief Secretary, W.M.S. Pariat Meghalaya was very fortunate to hold the programme with joy and peace and expressed concern of the lack of peace in other parts of the North Eastern region.
He also expressed appreciation to All India Radio for the social service rendered to society.
Speaking on the occasion, the Additional Director General of All India Radio and Doordarshan of North Eastern Region, C. Lalrosanga said the message of Christmas embedded with joy, peace and good-will should spread to other parts of the country and not remain confined only to the North Eastern Region.
Lalrosanga also said that All India Radio has organized various programme not only for promotion of music, but for spreading the message of good will amongst the various communities in the region.(SP News)
