Shillong, May 25: Fashionova 2014 was held at the NEHU Convention Hall, Shillong. Renowned Fashion Designer, Mr. Rakesh Aggarwal along with Prof. Ashoke K. Dutta were the Guests of Honour for this occasion.
Altogether Fashionova 2014 had 23 collections in the 3rd Graduation Show of Fashion Design department which were showcased. There were five to seven ensembles per collections having wide range of thematic appreciations and ideations. Students got inspirations from different sources like nature and its changes, various situations of human life, variations of styles & moods of life and their effects on the elements of designs.
Ms. Ankita was awarded the Best Design Collection Award, Ms. Sonali Singh Verma was awarded the Most Creative & Innovative Design Collection Award, Ms. Pratishtha Gohain was awarded the Best Use of Traditional Skills in Contemporary Styling and at last Ms.
Priyadarshi Pradhan has been awarded with the Best Construction and the prize, which was sponsored by The Usha Internationl with the Cash prize of Rupees 10,000/-, one Sewing Machine and Usha certificate. The show ended with the prize distribution by the Guests of Honour. (SP News)
