Shillong, Nov 07: Bharat Scouts and Guides Rajya Puraskar Rally and Foundation Day held at the Raj Bhavan Shillong, The Bharat Scouts and Guides, Rajya Puraskar Rally and Foundation and BSG Flag day was held today at Raj Bhavan, Shillong in which his Excellency the Governor of Meghalaya, Dr. K. K. Paul graced the occasion as Chief Guest who was also inducted as Patron of the Bhatat Scouts and Guides, Meghalaya.
Speaking in the occasion he first congratulated the awardees and stated that they havebrought pride not only to the family but to the State as well. He also stated that Scouts and Guides are class apart and are recognized for their discipline. And as a scout and guide one learns physical discipline and discipline in the miad which is extremely important. He added, in nation building these are the qualities and value which we imbibed at our school that will see us through in future and it can make us strong and there is where the strength of the country lies.”
Other highlights of the programme included songs, dances and acrobatic display by the students of various schools.(SP News)
