Shillong, October 1: As a part of the College Week and the National Voluntary Blood Donation Day, the NSS, NCC and RRC units of St. Edmund’s College in collaboration with the Regional Blood Bank, Pasteur Institute organized a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp on Monday last.
The camp saw quite a good response with the registration of more than 70 students, and a collection of 37 units of blood from student donors including two staff members.
The program was graced by the Principal Dr. S. Lamare, Dr. Carter J.M.Sangma, DHS (Research) and Lt. Col. Rituraj Nakura, Officer Commanding, 42 Meghalaya Signal Coy NCC.
Others present on the occasion included Dr. R Momin, senior specialist, i/c RBB, Pasteur Institute, Dr. J Lyngdoh, Dr. P Shylla, Programme Officers of NSS, and Captain V Rao of NCC.(SP News)
