Shillong, Sept 17: The attendance in the government office today in six district of the state, the East Khasi Hills District recorded the lowest only 37 percent while the South West Khasi Hills recoded the highest attendance with 78 percent.
The state wide office picketing call by the NGOs in the state has affected the daily work of the Government activities. The East Khasi Hills District which is the capital of the state recoded only 37%, Ri Bhoi District 38%.
The East Jiantia Hills recorded 65%, West Jaintia Hills recorded 76%, West Khasi Hills recorded 70% and South West Khasi Hills recorded 78% the highst from among the District in today turn out by government servant to attend their office work.
The office picketing call by the NGOs today, pass off peacefully with out any report of obstruction to the government employee while they were on their way to offices. (SP News)
