Shillong, July 01: The office of the District Programme Officer, ICDS (Cell) distributed the State Level Award 20 12-1 3 to Anganwadi Workers and District Incentive Award 2012-1 3 to Anganwadi Workers and Anganwadi Helpers of East Khasi Hills and Ri Bhoi District on June26, 2013 at the Anganwadi Training Centre, Shillong.
The Deputy Director of Social Welfare, Meghalaya, Mrs. C N Marak who was the Chief Guest at the function distributed citation andcash to the awardees.The recipients of the State Level Award were Mrs. Elotis Sohtun of Phlangwanbroi ‘A’ AWC, Mawsynrarn ICDS Project and Mrs. Meral Siangshai of Nongrah ‘B’, AWC UmsningICDS Project.
The Anganwadi workers who received the District Incentive Award included Mrs. Helina Wahlang of Mawlai Phudmuri AWC, Mylliem ICDS, Mrs. Eming Khonglam of Wahpathaw AWC, Pynursla ICDS, Mrs. Merilin Dohling of Nongtraw AWC, Khatarshnong-Laitkroh ICDS and Mrs. Aijita Mawlong of Umsning Patarim AWC, Umsning ICDS.
Mrs. Joan Amy Kharpuri of Lummawbah Block I1 AWC, Mylliem ICDS, Mrs. DinaKharkongor of Mynsang ‘B’ AWC, Mawkynrew ICDS, Mrs. Inroi Binan of Laitsohphie AWC,Pynursla ICDS and Mrs. Harmuti Rongchon of Mamain AWC, Umling ICDS are the District Incentive Awardees from amongst the Anganwadi Helpers.(SP News)
