Shillong, December 03:The BSF troops of BOP Purakhasia, Ex-114 Bn deployed in South West Garo Hills district of Meghalaya apprehended two Bangladeshi Phensedyl smugglers namely Md Habiulla Hosain (19 yrs) s/o Abdul Khasia, r/o Vill- Inapoll, and Md Shohal Rana (22 yrs) s/o Md Hazrat Ali r/o Vill- Karagaon, both PS-Jiniaghati, Distt–Sherpur (BD), while they were trying to exfiltrate from India to Bangladesh near BP No 1798/3-s. During search, party seized 21 Btls Phensedyl worth Rs 4,200/- and & 02 Mobiles with three BD SIM.
The phensedyl was to be smuggled to Bangladesh. BSF in conjunction with BGB has always been on the lookout of the psychotropic substances being smuggled out to Bangladesh. Besides above, BSF troops of Meghalaya Ftr also seized 11 nos country made boat, cattle, liquor and other contraband items of the estimated value of Rs. 6,20,000/- ( Rupees Six lacs, twenty thousand only) during the last week.
The apprehended person along with seized items have been handed over to concerned department for legal action.(SP News Agency)
