Shillong, Dec 04: Bisheshwar Das who suffered serious burn injuries after miscreants set him on fire- succumbed to his burn injuries after battling for life for more than seventeen days in NEMCARE hospital Guwahati.
He died at around 4 am in the morning. Fifty years old tea shop owner Bishashwar Das was set ablaze by masked men on November 16 morning after they pour petrol on him at Bishnupur Bazaar. The incident took place at around 11 am. This is the second shocking incidents when miscreants set on fire city traders.
According to the police the miscreants wore masks to hide their faces. Police recently have arrested four KSU members for their involvement in the incident. The KSU Lawsohtun unit general secretary is among the four who were arrested.
In October miscreants had also attacked Meghalaya Machineries owner Vikash Nandwal and set him on fire after pouring petrol on him. He suffered serious burn injuries and was taken to Delhi for treatment but succumbed in a New Delhi hospital after battling for sixteen days.The entire Bishnupur area marked complete shutdown on Wednesday.(SP News)
