Shillong, Sept 05: The State President of BJP Shri Khlur Singh Lyngdoh express his doubt over the seriousness of the Government’s intention for calling all party meeting on influx and infiltration today the 5th September 2013. The State president feels when ever the Congress led Government is under pressure on any issue raised by the local NGOs in
the state, the political parties are called to suggest on the issue but the Chief Minister do not take any suggestion made by the political parties seriously.
When earlier the Government invited the political parties during the Langpih incident over the issue on inter state border, the State BJP attended the meeting along with other parties and gave their suggestion, also accompanied the Chief Minister and other political
party leaders to Langpih to find out the ground reality but Dr. Sangma have failed to bring a solution to the inter state border issue or neither called back the Political Parties to discuss further on the issue. It is therefore the seriousness of this meeting too is also a
‘doubt.’ The BJP believes that the Government of the day has called this all party meeting because they are under pressure from the NGOs on ILP issue.
The BJP is always feeling concerned by the Bangladeshi infiltrators which is gradually changing the demography of the State. The situation in Assam is over alarming. Therefore neither the MUA nor the UPA Government is concern on serious about the infiltration threat. When ever the BJP has risen it’s concerned at the Center or
State on the infiltration the BJP was branded as communal by the Congress Party.
The BJP disapproves the Indo Bangla deal but our Meghalaya CM himself have supported the Indo- Bangla land deal without considering the benefit of the people of his own state who are affected for their own land. The CM who was with the Prime Minister
during the Indo- Bangla deal in Bangladesh should have talk to the people of the State living in the border specially the village heads before agreeing to support the deal.(SP News)
