Shillong, June 08: The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) State Executive Meetng was held at the State BJP office Shillong on 7th June 2014. The Meeting was presided over by the State BJYM President Egenstar Kurkalang .
The Meeting condemned the horrified incident at Raja Rongat , Chakpot area where a mother was shot dead by unidentified miscreants in frot of her childrens. The members in the meeting questioned that when in Chakpot the law and order situation was already tense and even curfew was clamped, how the police machinery failed to get the information about the movements of such miscreants who do not even spare the women. The incident clearly proves the failure of the State Intelligence department.
The State BJYM demands the State Governments to Pay Rs 2000000/ – to family of the victim.
Government should ensure free education up to whatever standard the children of the victim study.
The State BJYM demands that the Director General of Police Shri PJ.P. Hanaman be immediately removed and a better senior IPS officer be placed.
The BJYM urge upon the State Government to ensure that the common men are secured in the State.
The State BJP discusses the issue of dissolution of CMJ University by the State Government.
The BJYM urge upon the State Government to take note of the Students studying in the CMJ before dissolution of the University. The Members of the yuva morcha express that if the students are not taken care they will lose their valuable career.(SP News)
