BSF arrested Sahinul while taking money from Bangladeshi at Bagli

Shillong, January 24:  On 23rd Jan’ 2013, on specific input, BSF troops of BOP Bagli Ex-73 Bn deployed in West Khasi Hills district of Meghalaya apprehended one Indian national namely Sahinul Islam aged 30 yrs s/o Abdul Kalam, r/o VPO & Ps- Mankachar, Distt- Dhubri (Assam) while he was collecting illegal hawala money to the tune of Rs 20,130/-(Twenty Thousand, one hundred thirty) from one Bangladeshi national, who managed to escape near BP No. 1195/5-T.

During the search, party recovered following items from his possession, Nokia mobile with one Indian and one BD SIMs, 01 PAN Card ,01 ID card.

On another incident, on 23rd Jan 2013, BSF troops of BOP Gasuapara Ex-132 Bn BSF deployed in South Garo Hils district apprehended one Bangladeshi national namely Aminul Sheikh aged 19 yrs s/o Manto Sheikh, r/o vill- Mirpur Railway Colony Ps- Sirajganj, Distt- Mymensingh (Bangladesh) while he was infiltrating into India from Bangladesh near BP No. 1124/1-S.

 

While on 23rd Jan 2013, on specific input, BSF troops of BOP Nayabazar Ex-108 Bn BSF, deployed in East Khasi Hills district of Meghalaya seized 13 Nos cattle Approx value Rs. 89,700/- (Eight nine thousand seven hundred) while it was being smuggled into Bangladesh near BP 1262/4-S. BSF has always been on the lookout against the cattle smugglers. Accordingly BSF along with Meghalaya police is laying mobile check post on converging points to intercept Cattle going towards border for smuggling as after reaching on Zero line, due to terrain, interception becomes difficult.

Apprehended persons and seized items have been handed over to concerned department for further disposal and legal action as per law of the land.(SP News)
