Shillong, April 20: On the 19of this month on specific input regarding smuggling of Phensdyl, BSF troops of BOP Hatimara ex-108 Bn deployed in East Khasi Hills district of Meghalaya launched a special operation and seized 140 Bottle of Phensdyl worth Rs.11,200/- approx. (Eleven thousand two hundred only) near BP No 1251/21-S while it was being smuggled to Bangladesh.
It is pertinent to mention here that it has always been the endeavor of BSF to keep a strict vigil and deny any smuggling of psychotropic substances/ narcotics/alcohol to Bangladesh and in this task BSF is also seeking the help of BGB.
Seized items have been handed over to concerned department for further disposal and legal action as per law of the land.(SP News)
