Shillong, August 10: The BSF posted at BOP Khaliang ex-98 Bn deployed in West Jaintia Hills distt of Meghalaya apprehended one Bangladeshi national namely Md Ali aged 24 from Asachar village Sylhet District of Bangladesh while he was ex-filtrating from India to Bangladesh on 09th Aug’ 2013.
During search 03 Nos Electric Detonator, 03 Nos Gelatine (Neogel) explosive, Indian Currency Rs 4,020 /-, BD Taka 127/- and 01 Mobile with 02 SIM (01 Indian and 01 BD) recovered from his possession.
Individual revealed that he was labourer at stone quarries of Khliehriat & on eve of EID he was returning to his home. One labourer incharge namely Juned of Ladrymbai given him said detonator and explosive to further handover to one Adul Khadir of vill- Asachar, Ps- Santiganj, Dist Sylhet, Bangladesh.
On lead of apprehended Bangladeshi National a joint ops carried out by BSF troops of BOP Khaliang ex-98 Bn and Meghalaya Police in coal mine area of Umsung under Khliehriat police station , in which three Bangladeshi nationals and two Indian Nationals were arrested.
The arrested person were Md Samsoddin, aged 22 yrs, Md Abdul Jonaed aged-23, Md Alinoor, aged 32, all are Bangladeshi national and Md Abdin, aged-22 Karimganj, and Md Eqramul, Assam were apprehended.
From them the BSF and the police have recover 25 Detonator, 17 Nos Explosive, Indian Currency- Rs.770/-, BD Taka-10/- and 02 Nos Mobile with 04 SIM (03 Indian & 01-Bangladeshi) were recovered from their possession.SP News)
