BSF rescued abducted person from the GNLA

 

Shillong, Nov 14: Border Security Force achieved a major success, when BSF party of BOP Gasuapara Ex-132 BN BSF, deployed in South Garo Hills District of Meghalaya , rescued a coal exporter Namely Janking  Marak, , age 58 yrs ,S/O Ram M Sangma, R/O Vill- Lower Gasuapra, Distt South Garo Hills, who was kidnapped by Suspected GNLA cadres from his house  on 10 Nov 2013 at 2230 Hrs.

BSF party laid an ambush near International Boundary (IB) and Bangladesh near Border Pillar 125 in area of Border Outpost Gasuapara. At about 2230 Hrs some personnel were observed trying to exfiltrate from India to Bangladesh. On being challenged, 04 suspected GNLA cadres fled from the spot, leaving behind the kidnaped exporter blindfolded. He was handed over to his relatives on proper receipt and taken to hospital and Police was also informed.

This exporter was kidnapped by suspected GNLA cadres on 10 Nov 2013 at 2230 Hrs from his house. It was also learnt that he received demand note from outfit in past also.(SP News)
