Shillong, May 04: On 3rd May 2013, BSF Senior Secondary School, Umpling, Shillong organized annual function of the School during which various cultural programmes were showcased by the talented students of the school.
Shri Sudesh Kumar, IPS, Inspector General, Meghalaya Frontier, Border Security Force, was the Chief Guest, on the occasion. The event started with lightening of lamps by the Chief Guest.
During the programme talented children’s of the school showcased the rich culture of the north Eastern states and the country in a very presentable manners. The programme covered wide canvas of activities like,Bihu Dance, of the Assam,Traditional Mizo dance, Rajasthani dance and other play, songs and drama by senior and junior students.
The colourful costume, swift and graceful body movement combined with folk music full of the life and innocence of children’s added the jovial mood to the programme.
The Chief Guest, other dignitaries and gathering present on the occasion appreciated the performance and the talents of the students. The programme concluded with prize distribution by the Chief Guest, Shri Sudesh Kumar and Mrs. Prema Gandhi, President BWWA to the outstanding students of the school in various fields viz arts, study and sports etc.(SP News)
